Character Gen Rules for DA: Blood in the Water Attributes: 7/5/3 (Negative Attributes Max 5 Freebies) Abilities: 7 Disciplines: 3 (No discipline above 3rd level) Influence: 5 (No influence above 3rd level) Virtues: 7 Flaws: 7 Point Maximum Freebies: 5 New players will receive 25xp upon generation, with an additional 25 xp awarded over a period of 8 games to adjust power levels. Backgrounds may be purchased with freebie points if approved by ST or awarded through game play. The exception to this rule are resources which may be purchased with character gen. Linguistics and Academics - In this version of Dark Ages Linguistics acts as the "spoken" version of the language while Academics acts as the "reading/writing" of a language. Please remember as this is very important. Characters will automatically be able to speak Italian which is the common language of Venice without the purchase of Linguistics. Merits/Flaws - Faith and Fire or Longest Night are fine, anything clan specific must be approved by Alicia. Concentration and Eidetic Memory may not be taken together due to a nasty loophole. Generation: Generation is determined by testing with a storyteller by rock/paper/scissors. Gen starts at 12th Gen and caps at 9th Gen.
